Mira Mesa
Mira Mesa is a large suburb in North San Diego County. It is bordered by the 805 freeway to the West and Los Penasquitos Canyon to the North, the 15 freeway is to the East. Mira Mesa was incorporated in the 1950’s as a neighborhood to support Miramar, the Naval Air Station (think Top Gun). Since then, Miramar has grown into one of the largest communities in San Diego. The community has 8 parks, an aquatic complex, state-of-the-art movie theater, and a variety of shopping and dining options. Mira Mesa is currently home to about 80,000 people. The Mira Mesa Street Fair is held the last Saturday, every September on Camino Ruiz. There is the local fourth of July parade with fireworks and music. Mira Mesa is centrally located and an excellent area to live in because work is easily accessible anywhere in San Diego.
